In addition to his role in division management, where he has line management responsibility for operations and programs, Dr. Hunt also has lab-wide responsibility for developing and coordinating science programming for new building initiatives in energy sciences. Argonne has a number of new science and engineering buildings planned to revitalize the site.
Dr. Hunt received the Argonne Director’s Award in 2010. He completed the executive education leadership program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2008.
He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Society for Mass Spectrometry. He is an advisory board committee member for the American Society for Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics.
Dr. Hunt has given more than 40 invited presentations and lectureships at national and international conferences, universities, and industries. He has authored or co-authored more than 90 scientific papers published in various peer-reviewed worldwide-recognized journals and books.
Dr. Hunt earned his PhD in Physical Chemistry and a BA in Chemistry at Texas A&M University.
