Keith S. Bradley

Director, National Security Programs


Keith Bradley is the director of Argonne’s National Security Programs. He joined Argonne in 2010 after three decades as a physicist in the Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory system. Bradley has dedicated his career to research in and leadership of numerous programs in energy, nuclear energy, and national security.

Bradley works with scientists, engineers, and managers within Energy & Global Security (EGS) Directorate and across the laboratory to formulate and execute a strategic future in national and global security programs.

Most of Bradley’s career has focused on national nuclear security, with particular emphasis on nuclear capabilities and threats. Previously he worked at Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National Laboratories, studying inertial confinement fusion, nuclear weapons physics, technology development for nuclear nonproliferation, and research to advance and protect civilian nuclear fuel cycles.

Prior to joining Argonne, Bradley served as the National Technical Director of the Nuclear Energy Advanced Modeling & Simulation Program for the DOE Office of Nuclear Energy.
