Paige Brehm is a Co-Op Non-Technical Masters (Intern) Student who teaches youth in Educational Programs and Outreach’s Learning Center. She develops engaging activities for students and teaches a rich variety of STEM topics in the Learning Lab throughout the school year. Each summer, she develops and implements the curriculum for the All About Energy program, in which she teaches Chicago Public High School students about sustainability at the University of Chicago. She has the dream of empowering students to pursue science through immersion in STEM fields.
Paige’s interest in hands-on experimentation led her to pursue a B.S. in Chemistry, graduating from St. Xavier University in 2017. To advance her goal of ultimately becoming a high school chemistry teacher, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Secondary Education at Roosevelt University and anticipates graduating in August of this year. Complementing her work at Argonne and her academic studies, she tutors middle through high school students for Bridge Communities.
Paige is a member of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
