Biography

Parfait Gasana serves as Assistant Operations Research Analyst in the Decision and Infrastructure Sciences (DIS) division. He currently helps build data-driven tools and applications to support sponsor work for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and Economic Development Administration (EDA). 

Mr. Gasana has extensive data analytics, open-source programming, database development, and empirical research skills with a broad array of industry experience including local government, transportation, legal, and consulting. In much of his work, he applies methodological focus across the data pipeline: migration, aggregation, visualization, modeling, and reporting.

Mr. Gasana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master of Science in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His academic research includes transportation, public infrastructure, public capital and finance, consumer theory, and urban economy.
