Dr. Tkac received a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry from the Comenius University, Slovakia in 2003 and a M.S. in Chemistry from the Comenius University, Slovakia in 1998. He joined Argonne in October 2009 and serves as manager of the NNSA-sponsored Mo-99 program at Argonne. His work at Argonne concentrates on developing and demonstrating innovative separation and purification processes from proof of concept to full-scale operations. He has an extensive experience in speciation and optimization of separation processes relevant to actinides, lanthanides and transition metals. Most recently, he has been focusing on production and separation of medical isotopes for radio‐imaging, and radio‐therapy applications.
