Qi Li

Computational Building Scientist

Dr. Li promotes data-informed, risk-conscious practices in increasing building energy efficiency and resiliency.

Dr. Qi Li is a postdoctoral researcher at Argonne’s Energy Systems division. He received his Ph.D. degree in Architecture with a High Performance Buildings focus and a master’s degree in Statistics from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in building technology from Tsinghua University in China. His research focuses on physics-based data-driven modeling, analysis, and optimization of building performance under uncertainty for risk-conscious multi-scale applications, and is actively working in areas including Bayesian calibration of building energy models, urban-scale modeling, empirical validation under uncertainty, and building-grid integration.
