Dr. Qi Li is a postdoctoral appointee at Argonne’s Energy Systems division. His research focuses on engineering-based data-driven building energy modeling and simulation, urban-scale building energy management, statistical analysis, optimization and data visualization in risk-conscious building design, operation and retrofit practice. He received his Ph.D. in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology, a M.S. in Statistics from the same institution, and a Bachelor degree in Building Technology at Tsinghua University in China. His recent work includes the development of an uncertainty quantification framework for validation of energy simulation models under controlled experiments, and using Bayesian calibration of building energy models to quantify the value of measurement data in building performance management.
