Thomas Gillis received his Ph.D. in engineering at Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain). He held postdoctoral positions at UCLouvain and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he led the development of two open-source projects dedicated to the simulation of partial differential equations on large-scale infrastructures. He is coauthor of several peer-reviewed papers, for example, in the Journal of Computational Physics and the SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing.
Gillis joined Argonne in 2022, where he is working with the MPICH team.
