Argonne researchers developed the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) database to provide a comprehensive list of biogas projects that are upgrading gas for pipeline injection or use as vehicle fuel (whether locally or at the end of a pipeline). The database (last updated August 2024) is an Excel .xls format spreadsheet and is compatible with any version of Microsoft Excel. Although a handful of Canadian projects deliver RNG into the U.S., all projects listed in the database are in the United States.
