Argonne researchers have developed vehicle powertrain control algorithms to minimize energy consumption and offer one of the only non-proprietary simulation tools featuring algorithms based on actual test data across a wide range of powertrains, technologies, and vehicle classes. Additional algorithms encompass vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication. Researchers are focused on developing real-world implementable algorithm deployed using X-in-the-loop (XiL) technology.
