Vehicle and Mobility Systems

With ever more complex and transformational transportation decarbonization technologies comes the need to evaluate their impact on the sustainability, equity, and resilience at the individual vehicle and at the system level. Argonne’s Vehicle and Mobility Systems department are leaders in developing and deploying tools that evaluate the impact of technologies on a range of metrics. Their novel system-of-systems approach encompasses all transportation modes (on-road, off-road, marine, rail and aviation) as well as the ways in which transportation demand is currently being met and will be in the future.
