Argonne Open House
Argonne National Laboratory, located just 25 miles west of Chicago, is one of the world’s leading scientific research laboratories. And on Saturday, May 20, 2023, it was open to the public.
Thank you to the 9,000 people who visited our Open House. We hope you had fun touring our facilities, doing hands-on experiments, meeting our staff and researchers, and learning how science is answering some of the biggest questions facing humanity.

Argonne’s Educational Programs group also offers learning opportunities for students throughout the year, and on-site tours of the lab are available by appointment for those 13 years old or older.
