The Strategic Security Sciences Division (S3) applies methodologies, tools and expertise to help decision-makers anticipate and counter threats ranging from sophisticated cyber attacks to supply-chain vulnerabilities to foreign acquisition of weapons of mass destruction-related materials and technology. Furthermore, we engage partners to promote peaceful uses of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear technology, facilitate technical cooperation and strengthen global efforts to prevent misuse of technology and materials.
