The Nanocomposite Materials and Membrane Manufacturing Group is dedicated to advancing nanomaterials, components and devices, process science, and the integration of machine learning and data analytics to support domestic manufacturing innovation and supply chain security. We actively seek collaboration with partners across research, academic, and industrial communities.  

Advanced Membrane Development and Manufacturing 

From battery and fuel cell electrodes and separators to water and gas separation media, membranes play a critical role in a wide range of devices. By engineering membrane materials, microstructures, and configurations, their transport properties can be tailored to enable selective mass and/or charge transport and rejection.   

The Nanocomposite Materials and Membrane Manufacturing Group develops advanced adsorptive, catalytic, and ion- and electron-conductive nanomaterials and membranes, to precisely tune electrochemical, mechanical, thermal, and transport properties to support a broad spectrum of applications.
