Electric Vehicle Charging Program

Argonne is a leader in workplace electric vehicle charging, providing a robust network of more than 40 charging stations across the site.

Electric vehicle charging stations

Through an online reservation system, employees reserve charging times that fit their individual needs. Annually our employees log more than 5,500 charging sessions at these stations, powering their green vehicles for daily commuting.

Who Can Participate?

Our electric vehicle charging program is open to all Argonne and U.S. Department of Energy employees. We are working to develop access to visitors and other non-employees. Employees contribute a small monthly fee of $15.00 to cover the cost of electricity and station maintenance.

How Do I Sign Up?

Employees can register for the electric vehicle charging program by completing an online form. After registration is approved, employees begin monthly payments and gain access to our dynamic on-line reservation system.

What are rules?

Charging stations can be reserved for 2-hour time slots from, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Program participants can reserve up to 2 time slots per day (4-hours total). Reservations can be made up to 4 weeks in advance.
