Katrin Heitmann is the interim director of the High Energy Physics division at Argonne National Laboratory. She is also a physicist and computational scientist, and a senior member of the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics at the University of Chicago, as well as a member of the Northwestern-Argonne Institute of Science and Engineering.
Interim Deputy Division Director, Physicist, Group Leader
Peter Winter is the interim deputy director of the High Energy Physics division at Argonne National Laboratory. He is also the co-spokesperson of the Muon g-2 experiment and is a collaborator on both the Mu2e and DUNE experiments.
John Power is the Accelerator Physics Group Leader within Argonne’s High Energy Physics division. His interests are in theoretical, experimental and simulation research of structure and plasma wakefield acceleration, phase space manipulation, photoinjector sources, RF linac/guns, and electron beam diagnostics carried out at the Argonne Wakefield Accelerator (AWA) facility.
Jinlong Zhang is the Energy Frontier Group Leader within Argonne’s High Energy Physics division. He is also an experimental particle physicist and is currently working on the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
