Argonne Scholar

Biography

Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Laudadio (they/them) is an Argonne Scholar and Walter Massey Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory. They are a member of the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory within the Chemical and Fuel Cycle Technologies Division. Their postdoctoral research has focused on the construction, optimization, and implementation of a home-built, fiber optic-coupled Raman spectroscopy and spectromicroscopy instrument. As a Walter Massey Fellow, they are pursuing a systematic, surface-chemistry study of atomic layer deposited multi-layer coating structures with the goal of achieving maximal corrosion resistance. Dr. Laudadio received their Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2020, where they were a NSF Graduate Research Fellow. They graduated summa cum laude from Mount Holyoke College in 2015.
