Guy Savard

Biography

Guy Savard is the Director of the ATLAS facility. In this role, he oversees the technical operation of this DOE National User Facility, its scientific program, and guides the evolution of the facility to meet the evolving needs of the US and international nuclear physics communities. He also leads the radioactive ion trapping group that developed the ion manipulation techniques that enabled the CARIBU upgrade to ATLAS and the N=126 factory. He has a joint appointment with the Department of Physics and the Enrico Fermi Institute at the University of Chicago.
