Biography
Dr. Jim Miller is Division Director of the Energy Systems and Infrastructure Assessment (ESIA) division at Argonne National Laboratory. He leads a multidisciplinary organization working to understand and improve the performance and reliability of energy technologies and infrastructure.
During five decades at Argonne, Jim’s work has contributed to the development and evaluation of emerging transportation and energy technologies.
He has contributed his expertise to advisory committees for the National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council, NASA, and U.S. Department of Energy. He has also testified before congressional science committees.
Jim earned a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
