Kumar Jhala is an Energy Systems Scientist in the Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic Systems Analysis in the Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division at Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, IL, USA. 

Dr. Jhala received the Ph.D. and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS in 2018 and 2015. He received a B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, India in 2013.  He has performed extensive research on distribution system modeling and analysis. His area of expertise spans the domains of transactive energy systems, cyber-physical security, machine learning, statistical signal processing, game theory, stochastic modeling, optimization, and control theory.
