Qiang Dai

Dr. Dai is an Energy Systems Analyst at Argonne, where she researches sustainable lithium-ion battery production, assembly, use, and recycling. In 2017, she began developing Argonne’s EverBatt model to examine the cost and environmental impact of a battery through every stage of its life cycle. EverBatt won a R&D 100 Award in 2019. Dai works at the ReCell Center, the U.S. Department of Energy’s advanced battery recycling center, headquartered at Argonne. The center aims to develop more economic and environmentally sound recycling processes for batteries.
