Community Partnerships and Grants Lead

Biography

As part of her role as the Community Partnerships and Grants Lead for the Office of Community Engagement, Renee seeks to support the organization with building and managing short- and long-term community partnerships in service of Argonne’s community engagement goals.

Renee also works closely with Argonne research teams to identify and secure funding that supports collaboration with community, civic, non-profit and non-governmental agencies to advance community-engaged research. 
 
Renee joined Argonne in 2023 from ComEd, where she served as Manager of Smart Grid Programs. She led ComEd’s Community of the Future program, managing partnerships and pilot projects to drive advanced energy technology adoption, community resilience and health and well-being. 

Prior to joining ComEd, she worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, gaining experience in research translation, implementation science and built environment approaches to chronic disease prevention. 

Renee holds doctorate and master’s degrees in sociology from Georgia State University, and a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in social science from Michigan State University.
