Theodore Krause is a Chemical Engineer and the Theme Leader for Catalysis and Energy Conversion in the Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division at Argonne National Laboratory.

Biography

He provides technical leadership for staff members and post-doctoral appointees who are involved in research and development activities in the areas of catalysis, fuel cells, and high-throughput experimentation methodologies for accelerating materials discovery and process optimization.

Dr. Krause is the Laboratory Program Manager for the Fuel Cell Technologies Office-funded program. He oversees Argonne’s fuel cell and hydrogen programs in the areas of electrocatalysis; hydrogen production, delivery, and storage; and life cycle and technoeconomic analyses. Previously, he was Argonne’s Program Manager for the Office of Nuclear Energy Nuclear Hydrogen Initiative-funded program.

Dr. Krause is a member of the American Chemical Society. He is a Professional Engineer, registered in the State of Illinois. He holds two U.S. patents. He has written more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and given 50 presentations.

Dr. Krause joined Argonne in 1986. He has a BS in Chemistry and Physics from Ursinus College and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
