Biography

Vic currently manages the Engineering Services Group in the EOF Division.  Before then Vic spent the majority of his 30 years at Argonne in the High Energy Physics division, leading the Mechanical Support Group, which consists of engineers, designers, and technicians. Vic left Argonne briefly to lead the Engineering Support Group at the University of Chicago, then returned to Argonne to join the Experimental Operations and Facilities division.

In EOF, Vic continues to lead major portions of projects, and has been instrumental in identifying new customer relationships. Over the years, he has led a wide range of projects, such as the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter at CERN, the design and fabrication of precision motion systems at Argonne’s Advanced Photon Source (APS), and several large telescope structures.

Vic has Master of Science degrees in mechanical and civil/structural engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in public administration and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a registered professional engineer and structural engineer.
