Researchers at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory have achieved a 100x speedup in genetic data analysis from the Million Veteran Program, one of the world’s largest genomic research efforts. Using high performance computing, the team has drastically cut the time needed to process complex genetic data — paving the way for faster medical breakthroughs in personalized healthcare, disease prevention and treatment.
