Abstract: Chemical technology continues to advance as new processing technologies become available. Continuous flow chemistry allows researchers access to both new materials and previously ​“forbidden” reactions. Part of the MERF’s program mandate is to evaluate emerging synthesis technologies such as continuous flow synthesis and utilize these technologies to produce new experimental materials. This seminar will introduce the concepts of flow chemistry and highlight some of the reaction conditions achievable by flow chemistry that we used to make lithium-ion battery electrolyte materials.
