Director, Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center (MMIC) / Director - AI Applications Initiative, AET Directorate

Dr. Sibendu Som is the Director of Argonne’s Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center, focusing on accelerating the scale-up of advanced materials and manufacturing process technologies. He also leads the AI Applications Initiative for the Applied Energy programs at Argonne. Som’s expertise is in developing physics-based and data-driven modeling approaches for various domain sciences like manufacturing, propulsion and power generation applications.
