Biography

Namdoo Kim is a Research Engineer at Argonne National Laboratory, working within the Vehicle and Mobility Simulation Department since 2008. He earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sungkyunkwan, South Korea, in 2007. His primary research focus is on vehicle system modeling and simulation, where he evaluates the energy consumption, performance, and cost of advanced vehicle technologies across various classes, powertrains, components, and control strategies. His research interests extend to the electrification of off-road vehicles and machinery, automation, and high-fidelity modeling of off-road vehicle powertrains.
