Shivangi Prasad

Postdoctoral Appointee

Biography

Shivangi Prasad is a postdoctoral appointee in the Medium Energy Physics group at Argonne National Laboratory. She joined the laboratory in 2021. Her research interests are exploring the substructure of nucleon and nuclei. Currently she is involved in the analysis of a Hall C experiment at JLab which utilized near-threshold photo-production of J/Psi to probe the gluonic gravitational form factors.

Shivangi  received her Ph.D in Physics from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020. During her Ph.D, she worked on SeaQuest experiment which utilizes Drell-Yan process to probe the antiquark distribution inside the nucleon. Her doctoral thesis is focussed on measurement of absolute Drell-Yan cross-sections from incidence of 120 GeV proton beam on liquid hydrogen and liquid deuterium.
