Our unique suite of world-class user facilities enables scientists from around the globe to conduct impactful breakthroughs in quantum information science and technology. Academic, industry and international researchers can access our scientific user facilities for both nonproprietary and proprietary research.
Argonne Quantum Foundry
The 6,000-square-foot facility is focused on developing scalable semiconductor quantum systems. The foundry is home to a quantum computing test bed, diamond growth tools, environment-controlled annealing furnaces, tools to create qubits and materials transfer, and flip-chip bonders for device integration.
Advanced Photon Source
The Advanced Photon Source provides very bright, high-energy X-ray beams for research to more than 5,000 scientists in almost all scientific disciplines.
Argonne Leadership Computing Facility
The Argonne Leadership Computing Facility provides supercomputing capabilities to the scientific and engineering community to advance fundamental discovery and understanding in a range of disciplines.
Center for Nanoscale Materials
The Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne provides researchers from around the world with world-class expertise and instrumentation for multidisciplinary nanoscience and nanotechnology research.
Atos
Argonne is home to the Atos 35-qubit Quantum Learning Machine, which provides multiple simulators and a tutorial environment that supports the laboratory in research, training and outreach.
