Artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced computing are transforming how science is done. At Argonne, researchers use powerful supercomputers, machine learning and data-driven models to accelerate discovery, solving complex problems faster and opening new frontiers in research.
At the Open House, guests explored how AI is reshaping science across disciplines. Saw inside one of the world’s most powerful supercomputing facilities, interacted with real-time visualizations, and learned how simulations help scientists predict material behavior or disease spread. Guests discovered how AI can design new materials, optimize experiments and even help operate complex systems such as particle accelerators.
People created binary code bracelets, explored how neural networks learn, and tried interactive activities that show how computers process information and detect patterns. They were able to experience how data becomes insight through immersive visualization tools and interactive displays.
Guests also met the scientists and engineers behind these breakthroughs and saw how computing, AI and automation are working together to speed up innovation turning ideas into discoveries faster than ever before.
