The Department of Energy requires there be an executed Guest Facilities User Agreement with the home institution of each non-Argonne member of your research team before he or she can access Argonne facilities. User Agreements are signed by an authorized representative of the outside institution (typically an individual within the legal department).
STEP 1: Guest Facilities User Agreement
Argonne currently has executed Guest Facilities User Agreements with hundreds of outside institutions. Check with the ATLAS Administrative Assistant to see if your institution has an existing user agreement, or to initiate a user agreement.
STEP 2: User Acknowledgment
In addition to an executed User Agreement, each user must sign an acknowledgement form indicating that he/she is cognizant of and agrees to the responsibilities outlined in the User Agreement. The form is available from the ATLAS Administrative Assistant.
