Energy Systems and Infrastructure Assessment

The Energy Systems and Infrastructure Assessment division provides the rationale for decision makers to improve energy efficiency. We develop and use analytic tools to help the U.S. achieve energy goals. We also develop, deploy, and advance grid technologies that ensure a robust and secure U.S. grid transmission and distribution system. We collaborate with government agencies as well as companies to help move the nation toward an economy based on reliable energy.

For more than two decades, Argonne’s analysts and tool developers have pioneered the science of analyzing how behavior, choices, and options influence energy outcomes, and the tools they have developed are used throughout the world.
