National discovery platform

National discovery platform

Argonne’s computing systems, data resources and scientific instruments – including Aurora and the Advanced Photon Source – will help power the Genesis Mission’s American Science and Security Platform, a coordinated AI-driven infrastructure designed to support the broader research community. Argonne is also a partner in developing the American Science Cloud, the secure, federated, science-optimized cloud backbone of the platform.

Next-generation AI systems

Two cutting-edge AI supercomputing systems are being planned for Argonne through a groundbreaking public-private partnership between DOE, Argonne, NVIDIA and Oracle. These systems – Equinox and Solstice – will be used for scientific research in support of the Genesis Mission.
