Biography
Steven Brus received his Ph.D.in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2017. He was a postdoctoral research associate at Notre Dame and then at Los Alamos National Laboratory before joining Argonne in 2020.
Currently, he is involved with the Department of Energy’s Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) and Integrated Coastal Modeling (ICoM) projects. He is a recipient of the 2023 DOE Early Career Award to develop techniques that will enable the E3SM model to simulate coastal and urban flooding.
