STEP has managed the Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions (AVTC) for the U.S. Department of Energy, in partnership with the automotive industry, since the program was established in 1988.
AVTCs are North America’s premier collegiate automotive engineering competitions, providing an unparalleled, hands-on educational experience that has transformed the traditional classroom environment into a hub for automotive innovation.
More than 30,000 students from over 95 educational institutions have participated.
