Acacia J. Brunett

Acacia (Kacie) Brunett is the manager of the Reactor Safety Analysis Group within the Nuclear Science and Engineering Division. Her work has primarily focused on various Lab-industry partnerships aimed at development and qualification of advanced reactor safety analysis software for utilization in modern commercial licensing infrastructures. Other research activities, all largely focused on advanced reactor methods, include systems-level analysis of liquid-metal cooled advanced reactors, development of proliferation resistance assessment strategies, systems-level software development, passive system reliability, and advanced reactor source terms. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Juniata College and her master’s degree and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from The Ohio State University.
