SMR Summer School 2026 Logistics

The NEST SMR Summer School will take place on the Lemont, Illinois, campus of Argonne National Laboratory. Participants accepted into the SMR Summer School will be required to complete the visitor registration form, including uploading a current CV and immigration documents, if applicable.  Visitor registration links will be provided to participants upon acceptance to the program. Participants in the Summer School will stay in the Argonne Guest House, which is within the laboratory boundaries, from the evening of Sunday, June 14, 2026, through the morning of  Saturday, June 20, 2026. The summer school will conclude on the afternoon of Friday, June 19, 2026. A housing registration packet will be provided to participants upon acceptance. 

On-site transportation during summer school hours, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided for participants from Monday through Friday. A banquet dinner will be provided for all participants on the evening of Thursday, June 18, 2026

There are two major airports near Argonne: Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway International Airport. Additional information regarding travel arrangements is coming soon.
