Accommodations and Accessibility

Argonne Open House on Saturday, June 27, 2026

At Argonne National Laboratory, we are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all our visitors. We understand the importance of accommodating individual mobility needs, providing spaces for mothers to nurse, and offering quieter areas for rest and relaxation. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the Argonne Open House experience.

To help you navigate our campus and make the most of your visit, we’ve created a detailed map highlighting the various spaces available during the event. These include:

  • Accessible restrooms: Restrooms designed for access by all visitors comfortably
  • Changing stations: spaces equipped with diaper-changing tables
  • Quieter areas: Quieter spaces for relaxation and recharging during your visit
  • Stroller parking: Designated areas to safely park strollers while you explore
  • Mothers rooms: Private nursing and lactation spaces
  • Elevators or lifts: Easy access to open floors in multilevel buildings

These resources can also be viewed in the interactive map, under Layers / Accessibility and Family Support.

Argonne staff will be stationed at every building to help guide you to your destination, whether it is an accessible restroom, quieter room, mothers room or stroller parking.

We encourage you to use this map as a resource to plan your visit and locate the accommodations or amenities that best suit your needs. Registered service animals are permitted.

Each of the looping shuttle routes will have one vehicle with accessible seating available, minimizing wait times for customers with mobility needs.

A friendly reminder: Be sure to fully charge your devices before coming to Argonne.

At Argonne, we are dedicated to ensuring that your experience is both enjoyable and accessible. We look forward to welcoming you to the Argonne Open House!
