Biography

Ahmed Haseeb is a seasoned Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, program management, portfolio management and construction oversight. With a proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes projects, Ahmed is a trusted leader known for delivering excellence in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Ahmed serves as an Enterprise Portfolio Project Manager for the Project Management Organization in the Infrastructure Services directorate but is assigned full time to the Photon Sciences Directorate. In this role, he has made transformative contributions by establishing the Operations Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to centralize project oversight and streamline operations. Ahmed developed innovative processes, workflows, and performance metrics, enabling the lab to enhance project delivery across a portfolio of strategic initiatives.

Key accomplishments at Argonne include the development of SharePoint tools for project intake and dashboards, the alignment of operations with the strategic plan. Ahmed has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership by mentoring project teams, fostering organizational maturity, and proactively resolving risks during project execution.

Prior to working at Argonne, Ahmed has held pivotal roles in diverse industries, including energy, transportation, and telecommunications. His career highlights include managing a $572 million CO2 pipeline project for the DOE as Deputy Project Manager and leading project controls for a $498 million rail infrastructure transformation program for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. At Patrick Engineering, Ahmed successfully managed a field services team of over 100 personnel, consistently exceeding revenue and quality targets for the System Modernization Program in Chicago.

Ahmed’s technical expertise spans project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation, with certifications in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and ServiceNow. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
