Nuclear engineering and artificial intelligence, leveraging experimental facilities.
Biography
I lead research at the convergence of nuclear engineering and artificial intelligence at Argonne National Laboratory. I focus on leveraging AI to optimize the design and operation of nuclear systems. My work encompasses creating protocols to automate regulatory activities, developing physics-informed neural networks, and designing advanced control schemes. Crucially, I validate these computational innovations on experimental facilities to ensure their performance and reliability in real-world scenarios. My goal is to bridge the gap between theoretical computational methods and practical, safety-critical energy solutions.
