Biography
Angie Chor is the Business Manager for Argonne’s Institutional Partnerships, where she manages overall business operations and drives continuous improvement for Argonne’s STEM education and student, faculty and joint appointment programs. Through pragmatic project management and transparency, Angie seeks to partner with fellow business functions to improve operational efficiency. Her goal is to empower young women and girls by building confidence and integrity so they may navigate their lives with the skills needed to be independent and resilient STEM leaders.
Angie studied at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, where she earned both a B.A. in Business Management and an M.B.A. in Financial Planning. Having joined Argonne in 2012, she was the Joint Appointment Program Manager, and also held roles as a senior analyst in HR Compensation and Benefits. An avid problem-solver, she has led multiple cross-functional projects at the Laboratory, including serving as the Compensation Lead for the Workday HR implementation, the restructuring of the Lab’s Joint Appointment Program, and the Improving How We Work AERS project Governance team.
Angie is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Lean Six Sigma greenbelt.
