Brendon Zavala is an accelerator operator for the Argonne Tandem Linac Accelerator System (ATLAS), a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science user facility.
Biography
As an operator for ATLAS, Brendon ensures beam delivery for all experiments by tuning beam optics and troubleshooting the accelerator. Brendon joined Argonne in April of 2024. A graduate of the Missouri University of Science & Technology, where he received his bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering. While not working at ATLAS, Brendon spends time volunteering and doing research at the Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago.
