Biography

Dr. Charles Doktycz is a Risk and Resilience Analyst in the Decision and Infrastructure Sciences Division at Argonne National Laboratory. His primary focus areas include decision making under uncertainty, risk assessment, and energy sector resilience planning, actions and strategies. His work spans a range of sponsors, including DOE, FEMA, DHS, EDA, APPA, and power utilities.

Dr. Doktycz received his PhD in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, where he studied the costs of adaptation inaction and risk assessment of future hazards. He also has a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
