Biography

Dr. David Bettinardi is a researcher at Argonne National Laboratory specializing in chemical separations R&D for radioisotope production and nuclear fuel cycles. His work focuses on developing new radiochemical processes for industrial applications, including chemical flowsheet design, thermodynamics and kinetics modeling, target recycling, and radioisotope generator development.

He also specializes in designing and 3D-printing annular centrifugal contactors using chemically resistant materials for process-specific applications.

Dr. Bettinardi earned his PhD in Nuclear Science & Engineering from Oregon State University, where he was a Nuclear Regulatory Commission Fellow. He joined Argonne in 2017.
