Ibrahim Tanriover

Postdoctoral Appointee

Biography

Ibrahim Tanriover completed a double major B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Physics at Bogazici University in 2017, followed by an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in 2019, where he conducted research on polarization-insensitive broad-band metasurfaces and colloidal quantum wells. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University, where he received the prestigious Ryan Fellowship and SPIE Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship awards for his research. His experience includes development of machine learning approaches for ultrafast simulation and design of metasurfaces, investigation of optical properties of self-assembled metallic nanoframes and nanoparticles, and the design of compact, high-efficiency, ultra-fast optical computing metasurfaces. Currently, his research focuses on plasmonic dynamics using Ultrafast Electron Microscopy (UEM) and the exploration of advanced optical metasurfaces.
