Dr. Jihyeon Gim is a Chemist in Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division at Argonne National Laboratory with 10+ years of research experience in the development of electrode materials for electrochemical energy such as Li/Na-ion battery systems.  

Dr. Gim’s research primarily focuses on the design of synthesis method for the improved cathode/anode materials development for lithium-ion batteries sodium-ion batteries. His extensive experience with in-situ & ex-situ Synchrotron-based X-ray analytic techniques is also supporting the fundamental understanding of the correlation between atomic-scale structure information and electrochemical performances.
