Biography

Julie Wulf-Knoerzer is a Senior Projects Lead at Argonne National Laboratory where she plans an implements a variety of priority projects and initiatives in support of the laboratory’s mission and vision. She currently serves as Operations Lead for the Argonne Collaborative Center for Energy Storage Science (ACCESS) and LENS Consortium. She is also Program Manager for the Oppenheimer Science and Energy Leadership Program (OSELP), a fellowship program that brings together emerging leaders from all 17 national laboratories to help equip them to address key challenges and contribute more effectively to the DOE mission and broader goals of the national laboratories.

Julie served as Executive Secretariat for the National Laboratory Directors’ Council from 2019-2024 where she supported the Directors of the 17 DOE national laboratories in providing a coordinated interface on issues and concerns of common interest to the labs. She was previously Chief of Staff at the University of Chicago Computation Institute where she was responsible for central coordination of operations and planning activities for a joint research institute between the University and Argonne.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Francis and completed the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Strategic Laboratory Leadership Program (SLLP) in 2023.
