Kevin J Rader

Kevin Rader is a proactive leader who brings a broad range of technical and managerial expertise to NTNS. Kevin began his career as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the United States Navy, where he served in various technical leadership roles on the fast-attack submarine USS Montpelier (SSN-765). Kevin also held positions as a Radiochemistry & Nuclear Engineering Instructor, High-Risk Training Safety Officer, and Engineering Department Director at the Naval Submarine Training Center Pacific in Pearl Harbor, HI. He joined Argonne in 2019 as the Electrical Safety Program Manager & Authority Having Jurisdiction, and has held positions as interim ESH Coordinator for the High Energy Physics division, Radiological Operations Manager, and Occupational Safety Manager.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Nuclear Engineering credentials through DOE – Naval Reactors, and maintains professional certifications in electrical safety, project management, and sustainability.
