Mustafa Unal is a postdoctoral appointee in the Material Science Division. He has diverse research background in the areas of thin film solar cells, semiconductor crystal growth and material characterization. He obtained his BSc degree from Physics Department of Middle East Technical University, Türkiye in 2014, MSc and PhD degrees from Micro and Nanotechnology Graduate Program of Middle East Technical University. He has grown CdZnTe crystals for X-ray and gamma detection applications. He joined Argonne National Laboratory in 2023 to work on the development of emerging radiation detection materials with Dr. Duck Young Chung and Prof. Mercouri G. Kanatzidis.
