Biography

Scott has worked as a Designer at Argonne since 2012. Scott currently supports Argonne engineers in projects for nuclear medicine research by creating accurate and complete models, assemblies, weldments and drawings using ANSI standards. He is skilled in Creo (using Creo-Skeletons), Windchill, Autodesk Inventor 2018 and Vault, NX (SDRC), Team Center, and Revit MEP, and he has more than 30 years of experience using AutoCAD Electrical/Mechanical, Microsoft Windows, and Animator. Many of his designs are patent pending.

Scott began his career as a designer and draftsman in 1989. Since then, he has held a variety of positions related to both design and drafting. Notably, he aided in the design development and support of high-energy physics projects at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. His work at Fermilab included research and development of advanced accelerating structures; using AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create electrical and mechanical drawings for Loyola University with Elara Engineering; and creating a library of 3D solid models of switch points using Burlington Northern and Union Pacific railroad specifications for Litech, Inc.
